This valve gets its name from the shape that it has like that of a wafer. It is comparatively much thinner and lighter in weight than the normal type of check valves to absorb the water hammer effect. The main feature of this valve is the superior closing action and act as multifunction Check Valve. Because of the thin profile they are usually preferred in the locations where they have takeout at short lengths. They are used in locations that need to ensure that the flow passes only in one direction. The most ideal application areas consist of chemical processing industries, mining, water treatment plants, power plants, etc. They client is given a wide range of size in the Check Valve that they can select from.
